Fuji: Crisp and very juicy with sugary-sweet flavor. A good all-around apple for sauce, salads and fresh eating.
Ambrosia: Originating in Canada, this apple taste is often described as “sweet as honey”. It is crisp with fine grained flesh. It doesn’t brown quickly so is perfect for snacks or salad but is also good for cooking.
Golden Supreme: The flesh is cream colored, firm, crisp, coarse-grained, and juicy. The flavor is similar to the Golden Delicious. Golden Supremes are mellow and very sweet, with spicy notes and almost no tartness/acid. Browns slowly so an excellent variety for snacks and cheese plates. Used for baking, but with their sweetness – you can reduce the amount of sugar used in your recipes.
Spartans: A smaller apple similar in size to a McIntosh. It is an aromatic apple with crisp, white juicy flesh with a balanced sweet-tart flavor. An excellent keeper in cold storage. Delicious as a snack, adds sweetness to savory dishes/chutney, flavor pairs well with cheese, pork, onions and more.
Northern Spy: This apple’s white flesh is juicy, crisp and mildly sweet . It is noted for its high Vitamin C content. Excellent pie for pies and desserts or for juice and cider. Excellent apple for cold storage.
